The last days of week 3 was all about notching, but we finally finished them! Now the logs are completed and resting under the tarp, protected from the rain.
We continued barking (taking of the bark) and started notching. The notches make sure, that rope does not move around when we bind the crossbeams and the logs together.
We got the wood for the hut and the deck as well and we build a seating area and working benches.
We worked on slimming down the yard and preparing the mast. Additionally, we continued notching. The crossbeams are now complete, and we are focusing on the larger logs. The notches are necessary to ensure the rope used to bind the logs and crossbeams together stays in place and doesn’t move around.
